About Us

Inspiring young musicians since 1984

Who we are

CSYO is one of the UK's leading independent youth orchestras providing a unique orchestral opportunity for young musicians in and around Sheffield. We are a unique youth orchestra in the vibrant city of Sheffield offering membership to students up to the age of 21. With around 80 members aged between 13 and 21, CSYO provides valuable orchestral and musical training, developing vital skills such as communication, critical thinking and self-confidence — and has helped many members take a first step into a wide range of professions.
